Dear Hari:

Subject : Setting up a pet boarding facility for airport travellers at Bangalore Intl Airport

I am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional compassion, global excellence, and care demonstrated by Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) towards dogs in and around the campus. Your team's innovation, responsiveness, and commitment to pushing the frontiers of customer experience are truly commendable. We are better than world class, we are cutting edge!

I truly appreciate what is being done on community dogs neuter, medical and care, via CARE. I recall our previous discussion on furthering the pet-friendly initiative at BIAL over 6 years ago .  As part of our Pet Matrix Project which aims to make the city more pet friendly via an infrastructural support system, I would like to earnestly request a Pet Boarding Facility at KIAL . Providing increased facilities for pet parents, including a boarding facility for travellers, is a win-win as it could be a ground-breaking move as well as a profitable service line for the airport. This would not only position BIAL as one of the few airports globally to offer such a facility but also provide a convenient, reliable, and trustworthy option for pet parents. (If you recall, we had also discussed having Indie therapy dogs at airport). This can be  granulated later, the facility could be inhouse or outsourced to an NGO, to ensure top standards.

Imagine the relief and peace of mind for pet parent travellers who can leave their pets in a high-quality boarding facility at the airport, knowing they will be well cared for until their return. This would be a massive emotional connect for pet parents, who often worry about leaving their pets in distant boarding facilities with all the resultant logistics and travel issues. Moreover, this facility would be a boon for those relocating overseas, who need to complete quarantine formalities 4-5 hours before departure. You would move from customer satisfaction to not only delight but possibly customer ecstasy!

By introducing this service, BIAL would demonstrate its responsiveness to the growing presence of pets in customers' lives. This would foster a stronger connect, confidence, and relief for pet parents who are frequent flyers. Furthermore, this initiative would create a unique opportunity for entrepreneurship, innovation, and job creation in the pet care industry. Several airports offer top rated pet boarding facilities like Wag Hotels at Denver , Kennel Club LAX, Air France-KLM Animal Hotel, Schiphol, The ARK at JFK, and several others. The proposed pet boarding facility could also serve as a calming space for transit passengers, providing an opportunity to interact with animals and reduce stress. Research has shown that animal-assisted therapy can significantly reduce anxiety and improve mood.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that introducing a pet boarding facility at BIAL would be a win-win for the city, the airport, pet parents, and entrepreneurs. I would be delighted to discuss this proposal further and explore ways to make it a reality. We are happy to support this and advise with your team  as required.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best regards,
